To access your home share on the fileserver add an extra forward slash after -fs and use the full path e.g. If you do not want to use the command line version everything should now be set up to use the GUI version (below). If keys have been set up correctly this will not prompt for a password and will display the unison version on the fileserver. Test the connection from your PC to the fileserver on the Windows command line e.g. Contact for this if the following test fails. Unison needs to be installed on the remote fileserver which one of the Computer Officers will have to do. ssh and the file authorized_keys if they do not exist already. Copy the id_rsa.pub file to your login directory on the destination fileserver and append it to the file /home/user/.ssh/authorized_keys. Clicking on the word "Skip" will select the package resulting in an "x" being displayed in the Binary checkbox.

Another option that backup software can provide is a cloud tier. This way you can keep some versioning of files which might be extremely helpful. Unless you have a very special and specific case that requires such kind of approach I would rather stick to some sort of backup solution like RClone or Duplicati instead of regular file-based synchronization. Just run them at a regular manner and it will work. Rsync, Freefilesync, Unison - dozens of solutions will do the job. After this one is done you can use any Linux-based tool that can grab the files from your SMB share and put them into a folder on UnRAID. As already mentioned above, you need to expose your files over SMB for UnRAID to be able to access these files and copy them over.
